The use of PT-Guest indicates your understanding and acceptance of the following terms and conditions. This license shall supersede any verbal or prior verbal or

written, statement or agreement to the contrary.

If you do not understand or accept these terms or limited disclaimers, you must cease and desist using this product immediately.

 

This product is (c) Copyright 2017 Powell Tronics, all rights reserved. International copyright laws, international treaties and all other applicable national or international laws

protect this product. This software product and documentation may not, in whole or in part,

be copied, photocopied, translated, or reduced to any electronic medium or machine readable form, without prior consent in writing, from Powell Tronics according to all

applicable laws. The sole owner of this product is Powell Tronics.

 

 

 

 

Liability Disclaimer

This product and/or license is provided as is, without any representation or warranty of any kind, either express or implied, including without limitation any representations or

endorsements regarding the use of, the results of, or performance of the product, Its

appropriateness, accuracy, reliability, or correctness. The user and/or licensee assume the entire risk as to the use of this product.

 

Powell Tronics or it suppliers do not assume liability for the use of this program software. In no event will Powell Tronics be liable for additional direct or indirect damages including

any lost profits, lost savings, or other incidental or consequential damages arising from

any defects, or the use or inability to use this program, even if Powell Tronics have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

 

 

 

 

Restrictions

You may not sell, resell, rent or lease the software.  You agree not to modify, adapt, translate, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble or otherwise attempt to discover the

source code of the Software. You may not alter or modify in any way the installer for the

 

 

 

 

Operating License

You have the non-exclusive timeless right to use the PT-Guest service as long as it is used to only collect data from an Powell Tronics data capturing device(s) or third party

devices that is using one of Powell Tronics SDK’s.

 

You may physically transfer the program from one computer to another, or run the different services on different computers as long as the above paragraph as adhered to.

 

 

 

 

Protection of personal information

In terms of South African Act No.4 of 2013: Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPI) it is a criminal offence to use the information in this system for any other

purpose than which the visitor gave express consent. You as a user of the system will be

personally liable for any information extracted, exported or withdrawn from this system. The law explicitly prohibits further processing of information that is not in line with the

original purpose for which the visitor gave consent. To comply, this system encrypts data

and protects it with passwords and user rights. You as end user will be accountable for what you do with the data in this system. You are required to put measures in place to

'take appropriate, reasonable, technical organisational measures' to protect personal

information.

 

This also applies if you are a reseller or consultant installing this software for a client, the responsibility is on you to make your client aware of this legal responsibility.
